Fantastic opportunities for local journalists to get involved with your local QLOCAL Hamilton
Whether a student of journalism or an experienced journalist there are plenty of opportunities to contribute to your Qlocal Hamilton. We welcome contributions for all localities in the UK, in fact we cover them all.
Would you like to be running your own online newspaper?
If so, then Qlocal is the ideal platform. Just think of us as an online newspaper, it has news, local discussions, free For Sale sections, Property, Motors, features, History. Everything you would expect in a local newspaper but LIVE, ONLINE, and becoming more popular than the printed press.
These agencies are ideal to journalists with previous experience of local printed media. It is a fact that local printed media sales are decresing each year and cut backs have meant many qualified journalists have lost their jobs or have taken redundancy or early retirement.
Our preference is for NUJ members who have vast experience in their local area who have the ability to write up the localilty news sections and promote the site in their area.
We operate a shared income for all local advertising for your area. We do all the billing, debtor chasing, administration, and all paperwork. We look after every technical aspect for maintaining the site so you don't have to worry about anything other than news and promoting the site, and of course attract advertisers to generate an income for yourself.
Please take a look at our flagship town of Southport www.qlocal.co.uk/southport where we have operated sucessfully since the year 2000. We have also operated the town of Ormskirk www.qlocal.co.uk/ormskirk which is run by ex local journalist and NUJ member Roger Blaxall.
If you think you could do the same and build your own income then get in contact with us.
We said this was an agency agreement, and is not a franchise - or anything like the costs of a franchise. Our fees for an exclusive area are from just £5,000 + vat for a one off fee to secure. Income potential unlimited.
